Khanda bajji or Pakora or Pakodi (Crispy onion pakodi)

The video of Khanda bajji or Gatti Pakodi

Ingredients:
Onions 2 big
Besan 2 cups
Green Chilli 3 or
 Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon
Curry leaves 1 string 
Ginger ½ inch piece
Oil for frying
Salt as needed

Preparation:
1. Take besan in a bowl. Make a paste of curry leaves, green chillies and ginger. 
2. Cut onions into long pieces. Mix them well. Add little water spoon by spoon if required the cut onions will release water. Add salt and mix well. The batter should be thick. If  it is thin add besan to it.
3. Heat a pan after oil and after oil is heated add little batter to the oil and fry them.
4. After they are uniformly fried and turn to golden color.  Put them on a tissue paper, the extra oil will be absorbed by tissue paper.  Serve with chutney or ketchup.

Hmm...I love pakoras! I can almost smell the caramalised onions :D Its the oil that steers me away from these things though...but definitely good to enjoy once in a while!
